Limited Submissions
A "limited submission" is a funding opportunity that restricts the number of proposals or applications an organization can submit in each cycle for award consideration. The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) has implemented an internal selection process for selecting the applicant(s) who will represent UTMB in the limited submission competition. The Office of Strategic Research Development provides oversight for the process to ensure transparency and fairness in the selection of the most competitive proposals to represent the university.
Exceptions to this process are made in certain situations, for example, when a deadline is short, when a program is highly focused, or when an opportunity reflects a strategic priority or requires significant institutional commitment.
