UTMB IACUC revises Policy #14 and introduces Policy #31.

Would you like to learn more about working with research animals, writing an IACUC protocol, doing statistical analysis, or running a thorough literature search? This course will prepare researchers to plan, prepare, and conduct humane and compliant studies with animals according to federal and institutional laws, policies, and guidelines. Everyone is welcome.

The Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) has recently approved a new policy (Policy #30) regarding animal activities that may or may not require an animal protocol.

The IACUC recently updated policies 6, 24, & 25.

The IACUC recently revised Policy#13. The following change has been made to section A.3.

The IACUC has a new and comprehensive flowchart that describes its animal protocol review process and additional resources.

Changes (addition/deletion) in research personnel on an animal protocol can only be requested via an amendment to the protocol. The “Add Personnel” webform has been retired.

IACUC approved changes to the Personnel and Training, and the Surgeon sections of the e-Form.
