UTMB maintains IHOP Policy 04.05.07 and will report cost sharing to ensure that UTMB is in compliance with all applicable federal laws and regulations. UTMB will maintain records of all cost sharing within the records of the eCRT System.
Cost Sharing happens when the committed effort promised in a proposal is not fully funded by the sponsor, resulting in the salary being charged to the award being less than the effort devoted to the project; hence, the difference results in cost sharing.
