Process to Receive Letter of Support

Research Administration proudly serves as a partner to our research faculty members, providing valuable support and resources from funding identification to project completion. This includes facilitating letters of support.

Please note that the Office of Sponsored Programs will be your first point of contact for any grant proposals that require a letter of support from the Provost’s Office. Documents are needed at least six weeks prior to the deadline (depending on the RFA deadline) so there is ample time for review by numerous units. If there are any financial commitments included in the letter, this adds additional review time.

To receive a letter of support, please send the following via email to your preaward analyst:

  • Draft letter (please make sure there are no typos or formatting errors)
  • Full budget
  • Budget justification
  • Scope of Work

Once the documents have been reviewed, we will work with the appropriate office to process the letter for signature.

If you have any questions, please contact Christy Taylor Bray, MS, CRA, Director, Office of Sponsored Programs.
