If you are interested in high biocontainment veterinary medicine, this program is for you.

The UTMB Animal Resources Center features a 3-year laboratory animal medicine residency program providing clinical, didactic, technical, and research experience (including in high biocontainment BSL-3/4) to create a well-rounded lab animal clinician.

We work with a variety of species including various rodents, small mammals such as ferrets and rabbits, agricultural animals such as sheep and pigs, aquatics, and nonhuman primates. Program will facilitate research opportunities to generate primary author, hypothesis-driven, peer-reviewed research paper. At conclusion of program, resident will be ACLAM boards-eligible. ACLAM-accredited program at an AAALAC International-accredited institution. Accepting one resident every other year.
