Training Grants

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) award National Research Service Award (NRSA) Institutional Training Grants to develop or enhance research training opportunities for predoctoral and postdoctoral trainees. The purpose of the NRSA program is to help ensure that a diverse and highly trained workforce is available to assume leadership roles related to the Nation’s biomedical and behavioral research agenda.

The current Training Grant Coordinators meet quarterly to discuss best practices and to address questions. If you are applying for a training grant and would like to come to the next meeting please contact Beth Schilling.

To assist with the creation of Data Tables 7-10, a database was created that contains trainee applicant and enrollment data. Please contact Beth Schilling to receive access to this database.
