Coronavirus Collaboration Discussion

Mar 11, 2020, 16:39 PM by Melodi Moore

In concert with our offering of IHII data acquisition grants for research on coronaviruses and lung inflammation, the IHII is hosting a discussion session for UTMB scientists interested in possible collaborations to hear from faculty already conducting such research as well as those interesting in moving into coronavirus research, and to exchange ideas. We will hear ~5-minute presentations on these faculty members’ backgrounds, interests and related projects, followed by open discussion. Other scientists will also have the opportunity to make brief presentations to describe their ideas and interests. These discussion sessions have been helpful in the past in bringing diverse expertise to bear on urgent research needs such as that currently facing us with the coronavirus pandemic.
