During their meeting on February 17, 2021, the CPRIT Oversight Committee approved release of proposed changes to current agency rules for public comment.

The proposed change to § 702.19(b) allows the Product Development Review Council (PDRC) Chairperson to assign a peer reviewer to participate in grant application due diligence review and communicate directly with the applicant during the due diligence interview to gather information for review by the full PDRC. The proposed rule change to § 703.10(c)(3) requires grantees to include the grant identification number of a CPRIT project that contributes to a publication, including a scholarly article.

The proposed amendments were published in the March 5 edition of the Texas Register and are also available on the CPRIT website.

Written comments about the proposed rule changes should be submitted to CPRIT no later than April 5, 2021. Written comments may be sent to Ms. Kristen Doyle, CPRIT’s General Counsel, by email (kdoyle@cprit.texas.gov); by fax (512-475-2563); or by mail addressed to the Cancer Prevention & Research Institute of Texas, P.O. Box 12097, Attn: Rulemaking Project, Austin, Texas, 78711.
