Limited Competition PCORI Funding Announcement: Conducting Rare Disease Research using PCORnet® – Cycle 2 2020

Letters of Intent Due:  June 2, 2020 by 5:00 pm ET

Through this initiative, PCORI seeks to fund high-quality observational cohort studies of people with rare diseases or conditions. This initiative will require broad use of PCORnet resources for research, collaboration between a minimum of two CRNs/HPRNs, and the establishment of partnerships with rare disease patient organizations, with attention to representing the diversity of the population affected by the disease.


Observational Analyses of Second-Line Pharmacological Agents in Type 2 Diabetes – Cycle 2 2020

Through this initiative, PCORI seeks to fund high-quality studies using observational designs that compare the effectiveness of newer versus older second-line pharmacological agents in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) among individuals at moderate cardiovascular risk (2-3 percent risk of events per year).
