The Therapeutic Pipeline Program is open to industry and academic investigators proposing novel approaches or repositioning approved or clinically safe therapies from other disease indications. Part of our Edmond J. Safra Core Programs for PD Research, the Therapeutic Pipeline Program advances Parkinson's disease therapeutic and intervention development along the pre-clinical and clinical path.

Pre-Proposals Due:   May 14, 2020, 5 p.m. US ET

This AOTF/ Michael J. Fox Foundation (MJFF) grant will be available to an occupational therapist researcher serving as the principal investigator for development of preliminary evidence as well as provide pilot data for subsequent larger research projects. The goal of the study is to grow the data in need and strengthen the evidence for OT in Parkinson’s
Disease by asking clinically relevant questions that advance the delivery of OT.

Parkinson’s Pathway Biomarkers
The Michael J. Fox Foundation seeks applications with the potential to develop new/better biomarkers for measuring pathway function or dysfunction that can support therapeutic development for affected pathways in Parkinson’s disease (PD).

Senior Research Awards
Objective: To provide established researchers with funds to generate sufficient preliminary data to become competitive for funds from other sources such as the National Institutes of Health (NIH).   Researchers applying for the Senior Research Award (SRA) may gain access at no cost to the biosamples and/or research-ready datasets housed within IBD Plexus as part of a newly funded SRA research project.

Direct Costs: up to $105,300 per year
Indirect Costs: 10% of direct costs, or up to $10,530
Duration of Award: One to Three Years
