Since the release of the March 9 memo, when the OMB started allowing flexibility in how federal funding is managed during the COVID-19 public health emergency, researchers and administrators have been inundated with notices and emails explaining the changes and "flexibilties" now allowed by one federal agency or how the same procedure will not be allowed by another.
As a way of helping clear the confusion for at least one federal sponsor, the NIH has supplied an
informative PowerPoint that provides slide-by-slide instruction along with links to the
online notices where the information can be found. The slide deck includes information on donating research supplies, application deadlines and salaries & stipends. The PowerPoint also addresses administrative flexibilities and accommodations for loss of research time.
Review the slide deck on how to manage aspects of your NIH award during this time. Also remember your
pre/post-award analyst is also just a skype call or email away.
