2020 PCORI Funding Opportunities Announced

Jan 8, 2020, 14:37 PM by Melodi Moore

PCORI (Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute) was initially funded 2012 with an initial end-date of December 31, 2019.  In November 2019, the Institute was awarded an additional $2.4 billion to continue their work.

PCORI takes a different approach to research by focusing on research topics, questions, and outcomes most important to patients and those who care for them.  They work closely with a range of healthcare stakeholders— including patients, caregivers, scientists, clinicians, health systems, and insurers—to guide their research funding.  PCORI requires that patients be engaged in the research, not as subjects but as partners who help determine what to study and how.

PCORI invites investigators to apply after submitting a well-written letter of intent (LOI).  See how to write a responsive PCORI LOI

The institute recently released their current broad funding announcementsand a list of upcoming announcements to help people plan.
