Anesthesia Patient Safety Foundation Research & Development Grants

Applications are being accepted for projects that promise improved methods of patient safety with a defined and direct path to implementation into patient care settings and studies of problems for which deeper understanding is needed before effective solutions can be applied.  
LOIs will be accepted electronically beginning: January 8, 2019 and are due no later than February 1, 2019 at 5PM EST

Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Health and Climate Solutions
This funding opportunity seeks to develop and amplify the evidence around a set of approaches that improve community health and well-being and advance health equity, while also addressing climate change adaptation or mitigation. Eligible, local approaches can focus on one or more of a range of determinants of health—including, but not limited to: air quality; energy sources; transportation or mobility design; food and water systems; housing; and health systems
Deadline for brief proposals:  February 8, 2019 at 3 pm ET

Dannon North America Gut Microbiome, Yogurt and Probiotics Fellowship Grant
Dannon North America is awarding two graduate students with an interest in studying the gut microbiome, probiotics and yogurt in human health and wellness a grant of $25,000 each.
Application due:  February 15, 2019

Opportunities in Aging
The Retirement Research Foundation,one of the first private foundations in the nation devoted exclusively to aging and retirement issues, has four (4) responsive grant opportunities available.
Research - projects that seek causes and solutions to significant problems facing older adults, ages 65 and older, through support of applied and policy research for which federal funding is not available
Advocacy -  Projects that advance policy issues of critical importance to our nation’s seniors such as economic security, health care, housing, etc. 
Direct Service - Projects that increase the availability and effectiveness of comprehensive community programs designed to maintain older persons in their homes
Professional Education & Training - Programs that Increase the knowledge and skills of professionals and paraprofessionals who serve older adults, ages 65 and older
Next Deadline:  February 1, 2019

Opportunities in Pediatric Research
The Gerber Foundation Research Grants are particularly interested in fresh approaches to solving common, everyday problems or emerging issues within their defined focus areas. These include: Pediatric Health, Pediatric Nutrition and Environmental Hazards.

Concept pages must be submitted before an invitation for a full proposal will be issued.  Concept paper are due by May 15, 2019.
