Inaugural 2017 AAV Gene Therapy Symposium , December 5

Bioscience Research Collaborative.  Keynote speaker: Dr. Mark Kay, Stanford. Adeno-Associated Virus (AAV) is one of the most promising vector technologies being investigated for gene therapy. The goal of the symposium is to facilitate and encourage inter-institutional collaboration between AAV developers, users, core facilities, and industry as well as to serve as a great opportunity for other researchers to learn about AAV vectors and their applications. Co-sponsored by the GCC.  Register by Nov. 17.  

Research Mentor Training Workshop for Faculty, December 6

This workshop is designed to develop skills and insight in mentoring young scientists and to provide the opportunity for interactions between mentors at different institutions and in different disciplines. Facilitators are Vikki McDonnell and Bob Tillman, both master trainers with the National Research Mentoring Network. Time:  10:00 am - 3:00 pm; lunch will be provided.  Location: BioScience Research Collaborative, Room 284,  6500 Main Street. Spaces are limited. Registration deadline: Nov. 28. Registration

Mike Hogg Seminar for Antimicrobial Resistance and Stewardship Seminar, December 14
