The UTMB IRB accepts applications for human subjects research on a
rolling basis. All research applications for human subjects that are not
eligible for exempt status or expedited review will be reviewed at a
convened IRB meeting.

The placement of items on an IRB agenda is determined based on the
order in which it they are received and the number of members scheduled
to be present.
Once a study has been assigned to a meeting for review, the Principal
Investigator and Research Coordinator will be notified via email
approximately one week before the meeting date.
All requested information must be supplied or the protocol will be
returned. For example, blank or unanswered questions, missing
attachments or missing signatures (especially PI and Department Chair).
