What equipment do you service?
Frequently serviced equipment types include: centrifuges, CO2 incubators. Microscopes, electronic balances, PCR machines, shakers, water baths and pH meters. complete list
We recommend that all equipment be called in to us for service due to our low hourly rate and on-campus availability. For repairs which are beyond our scope of expertise or require special repair tools, an outside vendor may be recommended.

What are the advantages to having a contract for my equipment?
Annual preventative maintenance will ensure more consistent function, reduce the frequency of major or costly repairs and prolong the life of the equipment. A contract also allows for a 1 day response time to any repair requests.

What equipment should be placed under contract?
Any equipment may be placed under contract. However, several equipment types in particular stand to benefit from regular “check-ups”. We highly recommend that all labs without a maintained fyrite kit place their CO2 incubators under a preventative maintenance contract: This will ensure that the unit is checked for proper operation and calibrated once a year.

NuAire 2700 CO2 incubators especially should be checked annually due to a high occurrence of failures, which may become costly. Click here for more information. New Brunswick shaking incubators (the 25 series) may be placed under contract to allow for annual lubrication of bearing housing assembly. Filters should be changed and / or evaporator coils should be vacuumed annually on all freezers and refrigerators to avoid overworking the compressor.
