RTS seeks to fill the void of affordable engineering and technical talent in UTMB's research community. Our mission is to provide UTMB's investigators with high-level, cost-efficient engineering and technical expertise; to aid in the dispersion and implementation of new technologies on campus; to design, manufacture and modify sophisticated electronic and mechanical equipment; and to ensure and maintain safe and effective operation of research equipment.

Background:
In September 2001 Biomedical Engineering and Electronics (BMEE) was reorganized into Research Technology Support, becoming part of the Research Services family.
