Electronic Submissions

Instructions for accessing Research Services’ campus “inbox” folder for submitting electronic applications to the Office of Sponsored Programs

NOTE: This is only applicable to Grants.gov electronic submissions at this time.

In order for investigators and grant support staff to transfer electronic files to the Office of Sponsored Programs for review and submission to Grants.gov without overburdening email boxes, Research Services and Information Services have teamed up to provide a campus “inbox” on Research Services’ network share drive. Within the campus inbox are departmental folders. Principal investigator folders have been created and can be found as subfolders within the departmental folders. Access to individual folders is restricted to the Principal Investigator and his/her designee(s). This is a temporary solution designed to implement electronic submissions until InfoEd is implemented later in the coming year. Please follow the instructions found in the link below to obtain access.

How to map a network drive to the "inbox"

How to find the "inbox" once it has been mapped

Once an electronic application has been placed in a Principal Investigator’s folder for action by the Office of Sponsored Programs, please notify OSP via email at esubmit.osp@utmb.edu to initiate the review process.

NOTE: Not all institutes and centers accept investigator-initiated proposals (using the parent announcements and application packets) for these mechanisms. If an institute posts a specific FOA, you must use the FOA-specific application packet in Grants.gov, not the Parent application.
