Research Services Update

We are receiving questions about the ability of Research Services to process proposals while the institution is closed to non-essential personnel. Please be advised that the Pre-award, Contracts and Project Set-Up operations are functioning. Toni D'Agostino is working on campus and is able to provide authorized official signatures which then can be faxed, scanned and emailed, or delivered via an alternate arrangement. While we have been evacuated, Research Services has executed and/or received 19 award notices enabling spending authority of $15,422,702. Specifically,
Pre-award is available to: assist with review of proposal budgets, downloading of proposal documents, editing of budgets and other forms, and other activities related to preparing and submitting proposals, progress reports, etc. Please contact Kelly Lee at klee@utmb.ed or Toni D'Agostino at todagost@utmb.edu to request assistance or for more information.
Contracts is available to: receive contracts or subcontracts ready for review and execution, begin preparation of outgoing subcontracts, and review and execute Confidential Disclosure Agreements. Project Set-Up is available to: assist with setting up new project accounts, extending end dates base on notices or submission of progress reports, increasing budgets based on amendments and award notices.
