Animal Resource Center (ARC)

Welcome to the ARC Home Page. The Animal Resources Center provides comprehensive husbandry, veterinary and consultative services to UTMB's research community. We hope you find everything you need here to make your research at UTMB more convenient and effective.

Recovery Update

Animals may be ordered from approved vendors through the normal PeopleSoft purchasing procedures. There are some restrictions based on numbers and space available. You should have received an email from the IACUC outlining the process. See Ordering Procedures for a step by step walk through of the PeopleSoft ordering system.
Animals from non-approved vendors must go through quarantine or rederivation through a commercial provider. This is because we do not have an on campus quarantine facility at this time.
The main ARC building has limited access due to the elevator being out of service.
Some procedures are allowed with IACUC approval.
