The Office of Clinical Research (OCR), a division of The University of Texas Medical Branch's (UTMB) Research Services, is a multidisciplinary service organization that supports faculty with sponsored clinical trials and investigator-initiated clinical research projects.
Services
The OCR's principal functions include:
- Assisting clinical research staff through the contracting and budgeting phases of study start-up.
- Navigating the University and sponsor regulatory approval processes.
- Providing consultative services to investigators and coordinators on all aspects of planning and conducting clinical research.
- Providing training and educational services to clinical research professionals.
- Assisting investigators in the hiring process and onboarding of their clinical research support staff.
