Safety notice for Thermo Fisher CO2 incubators

 

Various Thermo Fisher CO2 incubators have the potential for door hinges failing and causing injury to staff using them. Incubators listed in the advisory are the Forma Branded SteriCult model numbers 3307, 3308, 3310 and 3311; the Forma Branded SteriCycle model numbers 370, 371, 380 and 381; the Thermo Scientific NAPCO 8000 model numbers 3584, 3585, 3598 and 3599; and the Thermo Fisher Series 8000 model numbers 3540, 3541, 3542 and 3543. NIAID offers tips for completing Innovation piece of applications


The National Institute of Allergy and Infection Diseases recently began a series in its Funding Newsletter to help investigators avoid common mistakes in applications.

 

 “Sidestep These Application Missteps“ covers common pitfalls applicants run into and how to sidestep them. Program and scientific review officers with years of experience helping investigators try to get a grant offer their advice based on what they've seen applicants do wrong. Then they share how to do it right.
